Well! Time is flying by! As one Elder in my district is
always reminding me, we only have seven weeks left. This week we had some
service projects with all the missionaries in our ward. One day we helped a
family move potted plants from one side of their patio to the other and then
cleaned the entire area before putting them back. The next day we helped paint
the front gate of a house! Before it was entirely black but the member, Lolita,
asked us to paint it white and black. It took a while and we actually didn't
finish. But it was a fun morning! Lolita also fed us a ton—more food than we
ate at lunch!

Also last week we had a meeting for those that are in the
midst of training and for their trainees. We learned some tips and then the
newbies had to teach the Restoration lesson to the trainers. I didn't have to
do that when I first got here and I'm really glad—I don't know if I knew enough
Spanish to do it! I'm happy to say my Spanish has improved by leaps and bounds
and now that I have a Mexican companion I'm learning Tijuana slang. That way,
when I go to visit in another year and a half, I'll be all set!

I love being here as hard as it's been. I've learned so much
and I feel like I've grown up as well. I know this Church is true, that Joseph
Smith was a prophet and that thanks to him, we have the power and authority
here on earth to be baptized, to partake of the sacrament, to be sealed as
eternal families and countless other covenants. I love this work—I know its
true!
I love you all!
Love,
Hermana Bennett
